Where hosts put QR codes
By the router or on the fridge
A Wi-Fi sign ends the "what's the Wi-Fi?" messages. A table tent stands on any counter, no frame needed.
Inside the front door
A house guide code opens your check-in steps, house rules and check-out list.
On the coffee table
Make a second house guide code that opens your favorite restaurants, beaches and coffee shops, such as a Google Maps list.
On the fridge
A text-us sign helps guests reach you fast if something goes wrong.
How to make an Airbnb Wi-Fi sign
- Pick Wi-Fi sign and enter your network name and password.
- Scan the code with your phone to check that it joins the network.
- Click Print the Wi-Fi sign, choose a table tent or a wall sign, and print it on card stock.
Questions
Will the sign stop working?
No. The network name and password are stored in the code itself, with nothing in between that can expire. It works until you change the password.
What if I change the Wi-Fi password?
Make a new sign. It takes a minute, and the old one will stop connecting.
Is it safe to show the password?
Anyone in the rental can see the sign, so give guests their own network, separate from your cameras, smart locks and other devices. Most routers have a guest network setting.
Does it work on every phone?
Recent iPhones and Android phones join from the built-in camera. The sign also prints the network name and password for anyone who would rather type them.
