No Strings QR (nostringsqr.com) makes free QR codes and simple safety checks. This page explains what we collect, which is very little.
The short version
Codes are made in your browser. We don't see or store what you type into our tools: links, Wi-Fi passwords, contact details, messages and VINs never leave your device.
What stays on your device
To make the site handier, your browser keeps a few things in its own storage on your device: your last 8 codes (including any Wi-Fi passwords in them), your color and size settings, how many codes you've made and when you last visited, and a logo you add (only until you close the tab). We can't see any of it. You can delete your codes with Clear all on the Your Recent Codes page, or clear everything in your browser settings.
What we collect
- Visit statistics. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics: pages viewed, the site you came from, your country and your type of device. It uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.
- Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, records basic technical data such as IP addresses to keep the site secure and running.
- Email list. If you join our email list, we keep your email address and the use you picked (for example, restaurant or real estate), through our email service. We use them only to send offers and news, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
Services that load in your browser
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and the QR code tools from jsDelivr. Like any website, those services see your IP address when your browser fetches the files.
Links to other sites
Links to Amazon and other sites take you to sites with their own privacy policies. We take part in the Amazon Associates program, so Amazon may use cookies to tell that you came from our site. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Advertising
We show ads from Google. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ads Settings, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Children
This site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
